Updates

Here are a few updates that I can expand on later:

-Thursday is the last day of school for students and Friday is the last day for teachers!!! I will have a lot more time to blog after that :)

-I have a new job for next school year. I will be teaching at Hunter's Bend Elementary in Williamson County. More to come on this later...

-Locke and I are meeting with the realtor on Thursday afternoon to sign paperwork and our house should be listed and officially on the market on Friday!! Yay! We have worked really hard getting it ready to sell... now we just have to keep it looking good :)

-Locke and I are going to Albany GA this weekend to visit his parents and grandparents. I am really looking forward to it!

-I am in another play!!! I play the sister, Claire, in Proof. (more to come on this later...)

Well that's the news in a nutshell. Happy Memorial Day to everyone!

Long Nails!!!

For those of you that know me well, you know I have always had short nails because I tend to bite or pick them. Well you will be proud of me: I have not bitten my nails in weeks and they are long and pretty! Take a look! :)

I had someone ask me about organizations to donate money for flood relief efforts in Middle TN, so I thought I'd post some info on my blog in case you are also interested.

Both websites provide more information on how the organization is involved in disaster relief efforts here in Middle TN. You can make donations online via the websites.

Please Pray for TN

Please continue to pray for all the flood victims in Nashville and middle TN. Our superintendent allowed Metro employees to volunteer in the community in lieu of a work day at school (students are still not back at school due to flooding on bus routes). I went to help out in west Nashville where an entire neighborhood was destroyed in the flood. It was so devastating to see the damage these houses sustained. The debris and people's personal possessions from the houses was just piled along the side of the road. And there are so many other neighborhoods just like this one. And with the Gaylord Opryland Hotel, Oprymills Mall, and the Grand Ole Opry all flooded and closed, so many people are out of work. This is going to be a long recovery process for our city. We need your prayers.

Welcome to the World Baby Girl!

Welcome Tessa Mae Roswell to the world! She was born today, May 4, at 12:29 am at 8 lb 7 oz and 21 in. I had the privilege to be her first hospital visitor. She was only 12 hours old and I held her for over an hour!!! Thanks to her mommy and daddy for letting me have the honor of holding her for so long! :) She is the most precious baby girl!

She looks unhappy in this picture, but she was just hungry. Otherwise the whole time I was there she was sweetly sleeping. Holland and Kevin said that so far she has been a really good baby with very little fussing (but Holland said she is under no illusion that that won't change).

Holland and Kevin are incredible parents already!! I am so excited to be 'Aunt Vicky'.
